Funding Opportunity for Patient Organisations Advocating for Children with Rheumatic Conditions

We are pleased to inform you that for this year, PReS has established a fund to support patient organisations with small-scale activities and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of children living with rheumatic conditions.
We are pleased to inform you that for this year, PReS has established a fund to support patient organisations with small-scale activities and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of children living with rheumatic conditions.
This funding is available to patient organisations working in the field of paediatric rheumatology. Half the funding will be available for WORD Day awareness raising activities, and half the funding can be used for a variety of other purposes. Activities proposed can include, but are not limited to:
- Organising events around WORD Day (fun runs, art competitions, picnics, sporting activities etc)
- Organising educational workshops and seminars
- Developing, printing and translating informational materials and resources
- Supporting community outreach programmes
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this funding, the patient organisation must meet the following criteria:
- Be a registered patient organisation working for children with rheumatic conditions, with an annual income of no more than 150.000 EUR.
- Have a clear plan for the proposed activity or initiative, including objectives, expected outcomes, and a clearly defined budget.
- Demonstrate the potential impact of the proposed activity or initiative on the lives of children with rheumatic conditions.
- Be able to complete the proposed activity or initiative within a specified timeframe.
We believe that all patient organisation play a crucial role in supporting children with rheumatic conditions and their families. We encourage patient organisations to apply for this funding to help further their important work.
To apply for a small grant involving WORD Day activities, the funding deadline will be 14 February 2025. For other funding, the deadline is 1 July 2025.
