We have received a request for one EMERGE member to join the EULAR taskforce: “Recommendations for the management of Familial Mediterranean Fever” convened by Seza Ozen.

The reason for this programme is to teach young investigators how EULAR/PReS recommendations and points to consider are generated/updated. A systematic literature research is not the primary task of the young investigators in the task force (one or two fellows are already involved in the task force to complete this duty).

The application process will be open to all EMERGE members. Applicants having contributed to EMERGE activities will be given priority (e.g., as subcommittee members, working party/country representatives and other EMERGE activities). After we have received all applications, we will proceed with an internal scoring process according to the different sections of the application form and the CV and publication list. A total score will be generated by simply adding the single scores for each item from each scorer. We will send the final scores and the applications to the convenor who will give the final decision.

If a candidate has been part of one or more EULAR/PRES task forces in the past, they will be excluded from the selection process unless there are no other eligible applicants.

Please note that you will be expected to produce a report for EMERGE about your experience if you are selected.
