We are delighted to invite you to the
32nd annual PReS Congress
September 17-20, 2025, in Helsinki, Finland
This year, we are celebrating the 26th anniversary of the foundation of PReS with our 32nd Congress. We have an exciting and inspiring program reflecting recent advancements in the field. And, as always in PReS meetings, the invited faculty represent internationally renowned clinicians and scientists who will present and discuss significant and exciting developments in the pathophysiology, diagnostics, and clinical management of pediatric rheumatology.
In the program, we will discuss new horizons in the treatment for paediatric rheumatic disease and immune mediated diseases, from CAR-Tcells to gene editing. In addition, there will be many outstanding presentations on various themes and our “Grand Debates”. Also, of course, as per tradition, you will find the Young Investigators Meeting and the courses before and after the Congress.
Finland is a Nordic welfare state that aims to be carbon neutral by 2035. It’s also the happiest country in the world. Around 75% of its surface is covered with forests, and it has the world’s biggest archipelago, as well as Europe’s largest lake district and last untamed wilderness, Lapland.
Helsinki is a charming seaside city with a unique twist, known for design and architecture. Located on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, Helsinki is a place where urban culture meets coastal nature. The easy-going Nordic lifestyle and friendly locals make it easy to fall in love with this northern city!
We are especially happy and honoured that the City of Helsinki will support the welcome reception!
Helsinki is a well-connected, safe, easy and compact city, serving as a major hub for international travel and commerce.
Helsinki Vantaa Airport, located 30 minutes from the congress venue and 35 minutes from the city center by public transportation, offers flights to over 140 destinations worldwide. The city is also linked to other European cities through an extensive network of trains and ferries, making it easy to travel to destinations like Stockholm, Tallinn or Copenhagen.
Messukeskus Helsinki, also known as the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, and in-house Holiday Inn Expo, is the largest convention center in Finland, welcoming over one million visitors annually.
The venue is also a pioneer in sustainability within the events industry. ISO 14001-certified since 2009 and committed to the UN's sustainable development goals, it uses advanced building technologies such as solar electricity, geothermal heat, district cooling, heat recovery, and LED technology. It has significantly reduced its water, heat, and electricity consumption over the past decade, aims for 110% carbon neutrality by 2029 and has extensive recycling facilities, ensuring 99% of waste is reused.
Messukeskus is only a 5 minutes train ride to Helsinki’s main train station with its world famous “art nouveau” Lyhdynkantajat (Finnish word for "the lantern bearers") and 20 minutes from Helsinki’s iconic cathedral.
You may also enjoy Finland’s National Museum, the Modern Art Museum or even the Suomenlinna sea fortress accessible by ferry.
